So the person ranked number one for questions has 10,000 "best plumber" of different city questions?

Those questions where part of an experiment Mahalo did. We might as well say that user is Mahalo! Actually it should give you something to strive for!

How long will it take you to post 10,001 questions? :D.

I saw those. That was annoying! I wanted to see if there were any old questions I could answer, and all I found were pages and pages of plumber questions.

Why would someone even ask those about every conceivable city?

This was an interesting test, so let's at least give credit for effort. But your point is "spot on. " There are a few where someone gave a reasonable answer, but mostly you find BS.It might have been better to ask, "What plumber have you used or what plumber have you heard is very good.?

I held the number 1 spot and then lost it to a computer.

So @davepamn ought to give up already! You can't beat a bot for quantity. Wait, maybe @davepamn is a bot too?

If you want to peruse the unanswered questions but don't want to sift through all the plumber questions, use this link. mahalo.com/answers?filter=open&sortby=so... Bookmark it if you need to, according to Jason they unanswered plumber questions will eventually be removed from the system.

To answer your question, I do think it's fair enough, especially now since we've learned from the answers above that it was an experiment. I actually answered a few of them, and I based my answers on reviews on Google and the quality of each plumber's website. It's not fun to have the Unanswered section 'clogged', as some have mentioned, but I can't help wondering if the answered questions don't end up ranking somewhere on Google and assisting other people.

Absolutely not! Answers should have sense and should be think first before answering questions. Repetitious questioning is a lame act!

This one is frustrating, when you go to local and it is all about plumbers, I can answer questions on Los Angeles, San Diego and coastal southern Californian plus my hometown of Milwaukee and all we have is this guy on plumbing, well here goes in northern San Diego county call Albert Plumbing, they have been advertising Mike Diamond the smell good plumber on the radio in Los Angeles with his 99 dollar unclog charge and then there is Blau in the Milwaukee area. But seriously there should be more to local than just plumbing, like why do most Mexican restaurants in San Diego county have bert somewhere in the name? Robertos, Humbertos, Albertos, Aldalbertos... or why do people in southern California race to stop at red lights or traffic jams, or line up to dine at a chain restaurant.

Why are there more good local places to eat in Milwaukee and Chicago than in southern California? There are questions I have and answers I can give but plumbing?

I'm afraid that doing such an experiment is really a very bad idea. 1 - For users as well as answerers; they are placed in an experiment which I consider slightly stupid (sorry not to look politically correct, but I really mean it), and they have to suffer from this experiment 2 - On the Google side it might really backfire if Google considers it as black hat techniques... and when you cheat with human readers as well as robots... this is blackhat. You might just get banned because of this experiment.

Was that the intended result. If Mahalo was a client of mine: a - I would have strongly discouraged such an experiment be - If they had done it against my clearly voiced opposition, I would make them a last sugestion, and would probably drop them from my lients if they were note somheox following it: contact GG before you get banned, explain the issue, discuss with them if removing the (sohemhow offending) coresponding pages would solve the issue.

I never got to annoyed with them. They give me something to vote best answer for, and I get points for that.

They were questions there to stop people finding questions with not long left on them just so they would have a great chance of a best answer.

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
