The vet says that my puppy's testicles have not descended (cryptorchidism). how does that affect us and/or the puppy?

A. When the puppy leaves us and goes to their new home their testicals may not have descended yet due to the age. When you take your puppy to the vet for their neuter procedure they may find that they are undescended.

Undescended testicles, also called cryptorchidism, do not typically affect the puppy in any major way. It is not an uncommon issue in most breeds and can happen in Airedales. Sometimes one or both are undescended.
