Depending on the crowd and how fancy you want to go, you could always put go boards in the center. If you put completed games on the boards, it will create a lovely black and white pattern in the center and gives the place a nice asian feel.At my friend's wedding, he put buckets of legos and tinker-toys in the center of each table. Unfortunately there were a lot of dorks like me at that wedding, and we built a suspension bridge between two of the tables.

Decks of cards are nice. You can match them with any color scheme you like, and you can build small card houses and make them look fancy until people are ready to play. If it's just a let's-all-meet-each-other-and-have-fun sort of occasion, I recommend Apples to Apples.

It keeps people talking, nobody feels bad about winning or losing, it scales from 4 to a bajillion players, and you learn about the other people at the table. Jenga can be a good idea, too.

The new Show Power of 10 is popular - why not ask some questions They can be of 10 people you see on the street, your staf, whatever - they can be about anything - news, even your event's goal - and let them play a little power of 10 You need some cards with 10%, 20%, 30%, etc - and one person can read the question, everyone else can hold up their cardClosest one wins - maybe the one who wins the most at each table gets the game. Jenga! I recommend Jenga -- the rules are simple, the game pieces are simple, and any number of people can play. Everyone at the table can get involved.

1 the problem with go, of course, is that nobody will know how to play it. This is also true of apples to apples, but it's really easy to learn. I'm changing my preferred choice to apples to apples.

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
