An opening to any pipe that goes to your sewer in your home is a definite health hazard. Does the room have a fan in it? If so, use it as often as possible.(Health laws require that every new homes have fans in bathrooms and other areas in which there are gases from the sewer lines.) Gases emanate from areas like these and, even when you don't know it, you're inhaling very toxic stuff!
Call your plumber and, in the meantime, stay away from it. Good luck!.
Plug the hole with some plastic bags, wadded up. Methane gas can escape from this open sewer line and be a explosion hazard.
You want to get a plumber to "cap" that pipe. Sewer gas (and possibly rats! ) will get into your house.
" For the time being, seal the hole up so that no deleterious gases or other hazards escape from it, and then suggest to the contractor that you would probably be more pleased with your home if he finished installing the toilet! .
I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
