Were the impacts of colonialism more positive or negative? Why?

We no longer have an empire, and we haven't had one for years and years, so they can't keep blaming us for their own short comings and poverty, that argument just doesn't wash any more. White British people keep being blamed by modern day libbys for what happened hundreds of years ago, when colonialism was the order of the day with dozens of other countries. These were matters that were entirely out of our control as none of us were even born during the height of the British Empire, yet we see our silly politicians saying sorry for invading them or sorry for being brutal, sorry about slavery and sorry about this that and the other when they rebelled etc etc. I for one am generally proud of our history, but our ancestors were no worse or no better than the Germans, the Japs, the Spanish, the French, the Portuguese and yes even the Americans.

To keep dragging up the past skeletons serves no positive purpose other than to try to break the modern day British people and try to instil a sense of guilt and a self loathing, when in actual fact we have every reason to be proud of most of our history.

I can't even see the BNP mob on here wanting to defend you! After all, you're putting forward exactly the sort of views they tell us that BNP members no longer hold! EDIT: Ryan - I think you suggest it with...... "Whats wrong with wanting to keep my homeland indigenous.

Also if non whites want to hate on Europeans living in America. Have you benefited from white technology and advancement? Blacks you would still be living in mudhuts if it was not for the white man." What did you mean by "keeping your homeland indigenous", then?

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
