So a lot of kids in the 80's and 90's were ignorant. What a surprise. In 1982 John Hawkins, the first black man to be a cheerleader for Ole Miss sports, refused to carry or pass out Confederate (Pierre Beauregard) battle flags, as had been the school's custom.

It made the news, and not just in MS. If you missed that, and a lot of similar stories, it's probably because you were too busy with the usual teenage BS, like planning your tactics to get into Linda Lou's drawers.

I cant really gove you an answer,but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
