Mahalo. Com has three main constituencies, with some overlap. Each constituency probably has a different demographic target.1.
Askers 2. Answerers 3. Page/Vertical managers Askers are more likely to be mid-teen to mid-thirties.
These are people who use the Web a lot, and are in search of quick and easy answers to questions they have, be those fact-based, opinions, or what-have-you. Older people will be represented, but those will be less likely to be both Web-savvy enough to find and use Mahalo, yet unwilling and/or unable to do their own research. Answerers are likely to be in their late twenties to late forties, with a significant contribution from both older and younger segments.
These are people who have been around the block a few times, know how to research online, enjoy such research, and have good communication skills. Page/Vertical managers are likely to be a similar demographic to the answerers age-wise, but may be more heavily tilted toward authoring/communications/marketing and a bit less toward research.
I would say primarily age 20 and over. It's quite usable for younger people, but Mahalo as it is is more a place for over-20s and perhaps the more thoughtful/intellectual teens. Watch this space though... most of us aren't really sure what Mahalo is going to become, although I'm confident that those in command and in this community would want it to remain intelligent, inclusive and progressive.
I'm not any kind of authority but I don't foresee those things changing too much. I'd say there's no upper age limit at all, there is such a wide variety of questions, answers, and information. I couldn't even tell you the average, minimum, or maximum age of the users. It's sort of almost an age-blind place - people of different age groups and interests stretch themselves a little to learn more about or help people of other age groups and interests.
I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
