These are fun... and the good news is you can even get some games that are educational and fun. And of course any game with a favorite character will be good. Just make sure any game he plays is rated E for at least the next 5-6 years, and there shouldn't be anything objectionable in them.

Also, know that many of these games require reading, so if your son is not reading well yet, he may need help at first. You have alot of choices with the DS... You can get him animal type games like nintendogs, petz, hamsterz, and so on like that. They also have alot of open ended games like animal crossing. Ridge racer ds is a great game, you controll the car with the stylus!

They have several good sports games as well... All the mario ones would be great for him as well... You could also get him gba games for the system as well. That gives you alot more options for the games. They have alot of disney and nicktoon type games for those as well.

What I would do is go to gamestop and tell the clerk you are looking for games rated "E" for a 5 year old boy and they will have alot of suggestions. Another thing I would get him for sure is the screen protectors and extra sylus with a carrying case...

There are few very interesting games for kids... First if you're looking for something to begin with you can just pick something that rolls around the screen and your kid get a hold of how it works. You might want to get Mario Kart DS or Bomberman or Kirby: Canvas Curse (being the cutest of the bunch). Yoshi's Island DS is also a great title that will find your kid busy for a while.

Then if you discover that you kid might want something more challenging, there are some puzzle games that you might consider. Here we can include Nintendogs series of games for DS that allows having a "virtual" pet - much easier than the real pet for kid to take care of every day (such as Tomagotchi was backdays). There is also Meteos title that is very colorful and very easy for kids to like.

If you really want to explore possibilities, you can go to:gamespot.com/games.html?type=top_rated&p... GameSpot provides this list of games sorted by score (both critics and users) and clicking on every game gives you a review as well as rating of the game (so you're for sure game has E as for Everybody population).

1 Try eBay as they show these games in lots! .

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
