Players probably don't care as much as the fans do...but I will tell you, I remember the last time someone disrespected the towel...2005 Houshmandzadeh wiped his shoe with the towel and not only did the Steelers defeat them badly in the playoffs, Cincy hasn't won a game against Pittsburgh since....so, good move Tennessee! Can't wait to see you in the playoffs! OH and one more thing, the last #1 seed team to beat the Steelers during the season at their house and see them again in their house later in the playoffs was the Indy Colts..and we all know what happened in the playoffs on the way to Super Bowl 40!
I didn't think is was too bright. Bullock should be smarter than that. Rookie Johnson shouldn't have carried the ball that way on his way into the end zone either.
If Roethlisberger hadn't fumbled, the game's outcome would likely have been reversed, so the Titans shouldn't get very excited. It was a nice win, though. Someone already offered me double face value for my tickets to the playoff games!
Hell, you should get a WHOLE lot more than that... Tickets to the first Steelers home game are going for 500 a piece... The AFC Championship game will be off the hook.
Bucco I feel the same way. I think its going to tick off the Steelers. Its not like they (the Titans) spanked the Steelers.
Take away the 2 int for TD's and if Ben does not lose ball at the 1 ...This game is a win for the Steelers. I remember TJ wiping the shoes too, I said to myself and others..wait till the playoffs... Plus to win 2 times in a year against a great team is hard to do.. Pittsburgh doesn't have to worry about the Titans anyway.. the won't be in the championship game. They will have to play against the Ravens or Colts and will get beat in divisional game....NICE MOVE TITANS PLAYERS..to beat is one thing ...to do that was wrong.. But they could not even get a put down right ..it wasnt a Terrible Towel..more like a cheap knock off..Even you own fans are saying that will come back to haunt you!
I was att the game and steelers fans were obnoxious. They started fights the night before the game. As a visitng titans fans I felt concerned for my saftey because of "steeler nation" and their antics.
The towel stomping was directed at the fans and they deserved it. GO TITANS!
Who cares. All Steeler fans are obnoxious. Try going to one of their games with colors other than theirs and see what happens.
Wrong about Steeler fans. They are not all obnoxious jerks. Don't judge all by the stupid antics of the minority.
I was at a Steeler Titans game the first year they were in Tenn. Some of the Titan fans were rude, because I and the people with me were wearing Steeler colors. Its that way anywhere you go..
Pokee if you felt concerned for your safety, I hope you're either female or under the age of 17. Otherwise...how gay of you. Not that there's anything wrong with it.
Steeler fans are no more obnoxious than Titan fans. Trust me on that one. And one thing for sure at least 4 Titan players are more obnoxious than any of the Steeler players.
I feel bad for Kearse, Bullick and the others who desecrated The Towel (even if it was a cheap imitation and not the official one). Apparently, no one told them about the mystical powers possessed by The Towel. Ask the Bengals.
Jeff Fisher didn't see any of his Titans stomping their feet on Terrible Towels Sunday after beating the Steelers. Seeing the footage Monday didn't make him happy. "This was just a couple guys playing around with a towel.
It was unnecessary in my opinion," Fisher said. Linebacker Keith Bulluck dropped a towel, then swiped his foot across it celebrating the Titans' 31-14 win. He wasn't alone.
Running back LenDale White stomped on a towel, and defensive end Jevon Kearse used one as he pretended to blow his nose in actions replayed in video highlights over and over. Fisher defended his players, saying the Terrible Towel is just a towel to the Titans. "They don't understand the significance or the meaning of the towel itself to the organization, the Steelers history or the Steelers fans," he said.
"On one hand, I think they were having fun and just playing with a towel. It was certainly not a shot at the organization or the players or the staff or the fans." New York defensive end Shaun Ellis was fined $10,000 by the NFL for throwing snow at fans after the team's loss at Seattle.
Several fans threw snowballs at New York players and staff as they walked off the field after the Seahawks' 13-3 victory. As he approached the walkway leading to the locker room, Ellis reached into a pile of snow, picked up a large chunk and tossed it into the stands at Qwest Field, appearing to hit at least a few fans. Jacksonville personnel chief James "Shack" Harris resigned, taking the fall for a franchise that flopped this season.
I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
