I personally like chives and basil. I seem to actually use those the most in cooking. I also have oregano, but it's very prolific and I can't seem to use all I grow.

My favorite herb is Sweet Basil. It also happens to be very hardy (with the right light and container). I also use a lot of Tarragon and a bit of Parsley (not Italian flat leaf parsley, because it has a bitter, stronger aftertaste).

Basil is especially good when making pesto, which I use as a sandwich spred, as well as in sauces and soups.

I cant really gove you an answer,but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest.
