I have driven on snow and ice many thousands of miles. In my honest opinion, heavier is better. For several reasons, it enhances traction, the inertia is a big help in getting through drifts, and a heavier vehicle is proven to be safer in a crash.
Of course 4 wheel drive is a geat advantage in starting and climbing but is not helpful in stopping, (ABS helps in this) In a crash, weight trumps every thing else. The vehicle is not the only factor, you should educate yourself as to how the vehicle will react in slippery conditions. For example when braking, cornering, stopping and climbing hills.
No substitute for experience. More.
I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
