What are the different phases of sleep in babies? How long should babies sleep?

Babies go through different sleep phases just like adults do. The common phases are the dream sleep phase and the non-dream sleep phase. The dream sleep phase is the phase where the baby is sleeping but you can still see his eyes darting both ways under her eyelids; back and forth. At the phase the rest of her body remains still except for little movements and twitches that the baby would do, and the baby’s breathing is not regular.

In non-dream phase, also known as quiet sleep, the baby‘s breathing would be deep and regular. You would notice that at this stage the baby’s body is still and relaxed and sometimes ,some babies might make sudden movements known as hypnagogic startles ,while others might make sounds with their mouth like a sigh or suckling movements. For the length of time a baby should sleep, a month baby needs about fifteen and half hours of sleep a day; 3 months old baby needs about fifteen hours; 6 months old baby needs about fourteen and a half hour and 9 months old babies need about fourteen hours sleep a day.

It is good to know that all babies are different, and some babies need require more sleep than others.

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
