What are the meaning of the various metals in the bible? Iron? Copper Silver?

Ascending in the order of scarcity and value. Gold seems to strike a higher value as well and these metals have been used to represent different nations. This would be along the lines of how many horns on a beast and/or different animals; eg: ram, bull, lion, eagle etc.
