Perhaps you should learn a few things. Aamer was born on 12 December 1968 and grew up in Medina in Saudi Arabia. He left the country at the age of 17.
He lived and traveled in the United States, Europe and the Middle East. Aamer lived and studied in Georgia and Maryland in 1989 and 1990. During the Gulf War, he worked as a translator for the U.S. Army.
