Those books not only list who publishes what in subject categories and index, they also have writers guidelines and tips saving you months of time tracking the information down yourself and maybe wasting time writing when the publisher really is not right for you.

If you have a small budget and need to save then once the newest year comes out the earlier years usually go on discount sale, libraries may even sell them at really discount sale in their used book sales, or used bookstores - it could do you for years if you are just looking at a general overview and names of publishers so you can look up their websites, or if can go to the library or bookstore and check a current issue for some specific company or check their website for updates. If you have not seen any of those books, that is a must see. Go to a local large bookstore or library to view the different topics if you can't decide.It is the difference from maybe going from not enough information to the problem of having too much information - but that still is a better problem to have!

I cant really gove you an answer,but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
