What books do you recommend to help a teacher who wants to expand her classroom management repertoire?

You may mean more than that, so I'll be brief. If you want to learn more about managing students, study the basic principles of motivation theory. The most common mistake of teachers trying to manage students is that 'control' is the way to go, which is incorrect - it hampers learning AND encourages dissent.

Motivation theories like Self-Determination Theory, Flow Theory, and Expectancy-Value Theory all have simple foundations that are excellent for motivating students to learn, participate, work in a team, and work as a team. I think you can deduct from there what that can do for your classroom management interests :) Good luck! Let me know if this helps!

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
