What causes a person to hear very loud pounding of their heart in their head, to the point of driving them crazy?

This person is on various medications for high blood pressure, heart disease and atrial fibrillation. The meds for the atrial fibrillation were the newest ones introduced, and although she has always heard the pounding of her heart in her head, recently it has become so severe and loud, she's going mad. Stress can cause it. She needs to see a cardiologist asap.

And of course the pounding is causing her MORE stress! Marva 8 months ago .

She might need a pacemaker to control her heart beats.

Blood pressure problem. Run to a doctor, please.

The frequency of a beating heart is lower than the frequency a normal ear can hear. If she says she can hear it in her head, something else is going on.

She needs to see her doctor. It could be caused by dangerously high blood pressure or maybe a side-effect of the medications.

I currently hear the heartbeat in my ears and see it in my eyes as well, went to cardiologist and was told it is called water hammer pulse, and it is tied into the aortic valve leaking. The aortic valve is the very last valve of the heart before the blood goes into the aorta. Not saying that is what your case is but I seriously recommend seeing a cardiologist and he/she should order an echocardiogram to confirm if a leaky valve is your situation as well.

I went to the cardiologist for a very loud murmur that developed after my aortic aneurysm surgery. Good luck..

Thanks so much for your answer. My mom has a mitral valve prolapse that worsens each year; looking at possible replacement in the future. Would that be the same valve?

That is actually a different valve but still could be your issue as well.. again please see a cardiologist to confirm, I am not a doctor but I work in the medical field and have had to stop because of my issues.. Pleased again be sure to see a cardiologist and tell him/her EVERYTHING going on whether you feel it is relevant or not.. It is important for him to know everything... prayers are with you that it is not a valve leaking, and hope the up coming holidays are blessed with happiness, family and friends...

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
