What do you do if your work is plagiarized?

I would call the person on it in front of others so that there were witnesses. I would also report it.

When my biography was stolen, I reported it and wrote about. The person was banned from these sites. But I have to remain vigilante.

I found my bio again under another name -probably the same person using another fake name.

Normally what I will do is I will report it and let it be. I know it will have effect on me in some way but due to internet, really tough to 'ban' these guys.

What an odd thing to plagiarize! Why on earth would anyone want to take your by-line - as that describes who you are!

1. You could ask them to remove it and come from a humorous angel - not realizing you had a twin... You could tell them they have unique qualities that make they who they are and to use those in their by-line. Plus you could say you realize that they may be new to the web and may not realize that you're not to copy another person's work without permission.

(I don't think this type of copying would fall under the fair use part of the copyright act in the US or fair dealing in Canada. ).

2. If that doesn't work - then report it to the webhost/service. Let them know that you've contacted the person on x date and asked them to remove it and they did not.

3. Do what a friend did when there was a double-booking for an event space. Imagine the issue resolving exactly as you want it to.

See it in your mind. Feel how you'd feel if it was solved.

Report it when possible as well as announce on my own blog or hub (wherever applicable) that "such and such user copied me! " I may try and do so without advertising this user's page or account.

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
