I cook for my Bichon Frise and also give him Newman's Own Organic dog food. I give my dog cooked ground beef or cooked chicken mixed with rice, a little cottage cheese, calcium phosphate powder, wheat germ, grated carrot and, sometimes, a few tablespoons of grated cheddar. He always has his dry food (the Newman's Own Organic) available in case I haven't given him enough of the cooked meat/raw vegie/etc.Mixture.

I use Newman's because they get their ingredients in the U.S. And are supposedly very careful of the ingredients they are purchasing. My dog eats in a similar manner to a cat--when he's had what he wants, he walks away, so I'm lucky that I can leave the dry food available all the time. I cant really gove you an answer,but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest.
