It depends on your interests really. During my nursing career I've worked in a few different areas. Accident & Emergency (ER) is rewarding in that some people get fixed and go home immediately, others more seriously ill may need a lot of input and to know that what you did may have helped save a life is rewarding beyond measure.
Care of the Older person can be rewarding in a different way. It is the pure nursing care that makes a difference here. You can turn somebody's life around by providing skilled nursing alone.
Knowing that you've helped improve somebody's quality of life is a great gift. I've worked in Burns & Plastics. Helping to rebuild somebody after a burn or traumatic injury gives plenty of job satisfaction. In fact, every speciality you can think of has the potential to offer reward to the nurse, it all depends on your area of interest.
Well I am no nurse, but I am close to Nursing activities hence my exposure as a teacher in Nursing Informactics and some IT related subjects for nurses. As far as I know to work as a nurse requires a lot patience and dedication towards serving the needy, I would say that being best in providing care to the needy is the most rewarding specialty of a registered nurse. I guess a nurse must love her job and specifically the people she is going to work for.
I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
