What do you think of "Tea Party" candidate Rand Paul and his vague approval of pre-Civil Rights Act racism?

Racism is defined by discrimination and marginalization based upon ideals of racial superiority. What you are talking about can be interpreted as bigotry by some people. I see nothing wrong with the desire to be with your own people within your own community.

The problem is being that Black people are a minority that notion is an practicality in America. Blacks in America are dependent upon White people in America for our very survival. It's a sad fact. Therefore we can not avoid having to deal with White people in some way, form or fashion.

Social settings are fine but you can't socialize forever. You have to take care of business at some point in time and you will inevitably have to deal with White people. There can never be a separate nation specifically for Blacks in America. It's a political impossibility.

If you want that kind of world for yourself you must build. You must carry on the legacy of Marcus Garvey.

There's a difference between your liking your people best and your not liking other people. Racism isn't cool, because it's the root of all the awful things that people can do to each other if given the chance. And it means that you won't allow someone to be your friend just because he's not your type/kind/race.

And that's sad.

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
