Even as a conservative I'll admit that I can't say yes for certain. McCain was a moderate RINO and certainly would've pushed for much of the same bailouts as Obama did (and TARP, which was started by Bush). I would say that while there's a chance the opposition is more anti-Democrat than anti-spending, I do believe the bailouts pushed people over the edge, really angering people.
It was almost the perfect storm; high unemployment and bailing out corporations simultaneously. People were angry. But I also think the whole mood would've chilled if the spending worked, bringing down unemployment, and if Obama wouldn't have continually ignored the American people by pushing health care while others kept saying "same old Washington, not listening to the people."
So I think it may have merged early, but quieted much faster. I think Obama created much of the hostility that he is receiving from "the people.
No I don't The Tea Party movement is a response to Obama being president. They seem to hate the fact that a black man is president, as evident by such racist tea party slogans. They also seem to be obsessed with calling Obama a socialist (even though any rational person knows otherwise).
Tea Party members are tools.
I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
