Organized religion has created pain and suffering. It has also create a moral compass that some people needed to steer by. Like Communism, religion in its purest form should cause only peace and happiness.
But when humans take it upon themselves to interpret God's word, some accidentally misinterpret or purposely warp it to suit their own needs. Would lack of religion lead to lack of wars? Well, most religions preach peace and loving thy neighbor as thyself.
Again, that's if religion is practiced as preached. And if there were no religion, there would still be wars based on acumulation of land/wealth/power. No racial conflict without religion?
That has already been proven false. Do you know how many Christian Whites opressed, tortured, and/or killed Christian Blacks? When missionary pioneers converted Native Americans, were they then invited off the reservations and offered choice jobs?
I think you know the answer. On the other hand, yes, too much hatred has come from the misinterpretation of organized religion. Some Christians have been taught that all Jews are like Judas.
Some Muslims have been taught that all non-Muslims should die. Mankind has abused relgion as it has abused its other potentially beneficial resources. That does not mean it will always be so, and I certainly hope not.
Maybe one day, all the truly religious people who act in a godly manner, together with atheists who act with their conscience which tells them that kindness is better than hatred, will find a way to make the world heaven on Earth.
Yes, I think so, as there would be less differences between our nations. Would it erase homophobia and racial conflict completely? -I think so, as homophobia is just a feeling that some people have.
-Also, I think racial conflict would not really change, as people would still form opinions towards other races. Would this create world peace? -Not entirely.
We would still have our cultural differences, but we would also have much more in common. It would be MORE peaceful if that works for an answer.
I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
