What do your moral and religious convictions say about wearing seat belts in cars? Should it be mandatory?

I've been reading and thinking for a while, and what you've said here is brilliant in so many ways. We can't convict someone we think we know did something just because there is not evidence of it? Well of course we can't!

Circumstantial evidence is good enough if it proves beyond a reasonable doubt, not if it doesn't. If the evidence is gone we should act as if it doesn't exist? OF COURSE!

Because it DOESN'T exist! We have to assume it into reality, and you could make all kinds of false leaps using that lack of logic. I understand the enemy of which you speak, but the real enemy that allows them to rise into such power is within us all.

That we loose our freedom to them is a judgment and a sentence on us all, and we will get what we deserve, because natural law is like that. People willing to accept what they didn't know and condemn a person has lead to man going along with the greatest atrocities in our history. It's an ugly thing.

I too left the Democratic party and am independent, which I think you are too? I know people who've left the Republican party over just this kind of issue as well, hypocrisy in wanting exert obtuse controls over a consensus of morality which is a purely independent value judgment. Putting power in the hands of government to choose winners and losers is just a bad idea all around.

No matter who they choose. Central power should be basic and enforce very basic principals that apply to any situation as easily. Going along with the mob isn't going to have a good outcome whatever side it comes from.

So, in your world. If you murder somone and discard the body so that it can never be recovered. Then, THERE IS NO WAY YOU COULD EVER BE FOUND GUILTY.

Since, the state can't even prove someone is dead. The law does not provide for such rules. Many people have been convicted beyond a reasonable doubt without even the production of a body or a murder weapon.

Only means and motive.

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
