What does "formica omnivora" have to do with fire ants?

According to Edward O. Wilson's Nature revealed: selected writings, 1949-2006, Formica Omnivora (omnivorous ant) is the name given by Carolus Linneaus in 1758 to a Jamaican house-pest ant. There have been attempts to link it to the and to the fire ant.

However, the paucity of descriptive details in Linneaus' 6-line description makes it impossible to definitively identify this ant today.

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
