What Does The Community Macmillan Service in the City of Manchester Provide?

We are a team of Health Care Professionals who have undergone specialised training to care for patients & relatives who have cancer or other life threatening diseases. Our Team Consists of: • Specialist Nurses • Nurse Consultant • Physiotherapist • Occupational Therapist • Speech & Language Therapist • Dietician • Therapy Team assistant • Support Workers We work closely with other health care professionals i.e. : • GP’s • District Nurses • Social Services • Nursing & Residential Care Homes • Voluntary Sector (Age Concern, CALL) • We provide expert care & emotional support to our entire patient/client group • Benefits Advisors Our Patient/ Client Group consist of: Mainly people who have a diagnosis of cancer, however this also includes people who have other life threatening illnesses.
