What does the phrase "having a bad hair day" mean? Where did it originate from, would you confess to ever having them yourself?

WHOA!

*brrwwweeohhh! *
I tried to do my homework here, I was curious too when and where and how the term originated!

Couldn't find anything specific on the origin. In my experience, people started using the term on TV back in the early 90's. Not sure who or what started it.

Seems like it was part of California Valley Girl culture. Typically the phrase means that one's hair looks bad "for the day", because of "bed hair", forgetting to shower, or similar circumstances. But it's come to kind of mean a general circumstance of having a general bad day.

Similar to the phrase "get up on the wrong side of the bed". Fun question, thanks!

Having a bad hair day means that your hair does not look like usual. For example, humidity can make you have a bad hair day. Also, during winter static can make your hair look horrible.

Yes, I have use this phrase before to describe my hair or when people ask me why I have a pony tail. I do not know where it originated.

Once, I gave a barber the wrong instructions and nodded off in his chair. I woke to find myself almost bald. Now that was a bad hair day.

Funny thing was, I got used to it and now I get it cut close almost every time. Who originated it? Wasn't that Albert Einstein?

.

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
