What exactly did Jesus sacrifice?

He began life with Bill Gates fortune is a great difference. Philippians 2:5-11 capsules his life neatly. "Keep this mental attitude in YOU that was also in Christ Jesus, 6 who, although he was existing in God’s form, gave no consideration to a seizure, namely, that he should be equal to God.

7 No, but he emptied himself and took a slave’s form and came to be in the likeness of men. 8 More than that, when he found himself in fashion as a man, he humbled himself and became obedient as far as death, yes, death on a torture stake. 9 For this very reason also God exalted him to a superior position and kindly gave him the name that is above every other name, 10 so that in the name of Jesus every knee should bend of those in heaven and those on earth and those under the ground, 11 and every tongue should openly acknowledge that Jesus Christ is Lord to the glory of God the Father."

Jesus took a real step down and had to humble himself greatly. What he offered in sacrifice was the value of his perfect human life. The only other life like it to step on this planet was Adam.

He offered that life with all of its potential for a wife and family up in sacrifice to be equal to Adam as a replacement for Adam. Because of this, the human race could be able to come back to perfection just as was the original purpose of God. Jesus while in human form, was fully human.

That meant when he was beaten, he felt it. Certainly when he was tortured before he was killed, he felt it too. Which though would be worse, being tortured and killed or knowing that you would be tortured and killed?

We know he knew what was going to happen to him even as far back as just after Adam sinned because of the first prophecy in the Bible. (Gen 3:15) We know too, on his last night of human life, he prayed to his Father in heaven for a loophole. Just as no one really would enjoy going through what he was about to have done to him.

Yet he wanted only to bring honor to his Father's name, Jehovah. In order to save God from violating God's own laws, Jesus would have to offer his life as a sacrifice to redeem all of Adam's descendants for the sake of Justice. We all from time to time do what is very painful when something greater is at stake.

So after being absolutely dead. After 3 days, if you did not start off dead, surely one would be by the 3rd day, he was resurrected to his former life as a spirit creature. Because of all that he had done in his life--as a Master Worker on Creation with God's power, as the archangel, in charge of all angels; his faithful human life without committing any sin--all of this gave God the proud honor of giving his first-born Son the position of 2nd in power in all of existence.

That is not bad.

Let me know when you sign up for your next Roman crucifixion. Then we can talk about sacrifice.

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
