No one is preaching against gun shows. The term "gun show loophole" was badly chosen as it implies the issue is isolated to gun shows. The issue is that private gun sales where the seller is not a licensed gun dealer do not require background checks.
Since most guns used in crimes were legally sold by the seller to someone prohibited from owning a gun there is a push to require background checks for all gun sales. A law requiring such background checks passed a while back in Washington state and it has already stopped gun sales to prohibited individuals and led to arrests of these individuals that were attempting to purchase a gun but that were prohibited from owning a gun due to felony convictions. There has not been any issues with law abiding citizens purchasing guns.
I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
