I don't mean the speed limit. I have heard that driving is slow in Ireland. We are driving from the Giant's Causeway to Sligo.
How much time should we allow? We are driving the Glens of Antrim. Without stops, how much time to drive from Belfast through the Glens to the Giant's Causeway, for example?
And how much time (without stops) to drive from Ennis to Dingle? How variable do you estimate the times to be? Is slowdown from construction likely?

The Emerald Isle... hello, my wife and I have been to Ireland 3 times. You are in for a challenge. I love Ireland, but its a bad place to drive in (especially Dublin).
The roads are poorly marked, although there has been some improvement in recent years. You'll be driving on the left side. If you don't use the Motorways, the roads are VERY narrow and you will come very close to the overgrown hedges on each side of the road.
You may notice that many cars have scratches along the side from close encounters. Due to the curves and hills you can't expect to average more than 40mph (about 65 kilometers ) and some of the signs are printed only in Gaelic ( Irish ). I have a first cousin who lives in Sligo.
Its beautiful up there. Have a great time! Sources: Celticrovers Google Map View Larger Map .

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
