What is backward compatibility testing?

Oprating system is compatible to our build but our build is not compatible with opearating system called backward compatibility. Generally test enginers face backward comp. Rather then forward comp.

I cant really gove you an answer,but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest.
