What is 'bombo' when translated from Italian to English?

I think it means sweet.. No,it doesn't have any particular meaning . Bombo is a species of fat and round shaped bee ..or you can use it (but seldom used) to referr to a fatty in a teasing but not too offensive way.

I cant really gove you an answer,but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest.
