What is Java Service Wrapper and where does RHQ store its binaries on UNIX?

Java Service Wrapper is a third party utility RHQ uses to install the RHQ Server and RHQ Agent as a Microsoft Windows Service (so it can run as a boot time background service). Our usage of Java Service Wrapper is configured with the files rhq-server-wrapper. Conf and rhq-agent-wrapper.conf.

Java Service Wrapper is not used by RHQ on any UNIX platform - it is only used when RHQ is running on Microsoft Windows (and only when you elect to install the server or agent as a Windows Service). If you want to install the server and/or agent as a boot time background service on UNIX, you install their respective wrapper scripts in your UNIX platform's appropriate init. D location.

See Running the Server and Running the Agent if you want to learn more about installing them as boot time background services. More.

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
