What is the best external or portable external 250 GB Hard Drive?

I'm looking for a 250 GB external hard drive for my notebook computer. The computer never leaves home and I want it mainly to store digital music. I have an 80 GB IPOD and have over 11 GB of music on it and it is growing.

I need something to store the music on because it is and is going to take up more of my HD space on the notebook. Also is it possible to sync the IPOD and download songs directly to the external HD?
