What is the best programming language to learn?

I'm looking for the programming language that is most often used in the business world (or will be the most used shortly in the future). I'm leaning toward Java, but I'm not very familiar with programming in the business world. Java or C++ I would suggest either Java or C++, both because they are relatively easy to learn compared to other programming languages, and they pretty much meet your requirement of being very widespread. Python I believe Python is a wonderfully structured and transparent programming the makes the language easy (and fun! ) to learn. Because of its transparent nature the learning curve is drasticly reduced.

The clean OO impllementations makes learning other OO langues such as C++ , Java , or Object C simple.

There is no "Best"! I have my own best, another programmer has his own best language. PHP is popular but not really object oriented.

Linux geeks love python. Some people love c#, on there other hand c++ also a great language for application developers. When its about mobile programming, java beats everything.

Actually these all depends on your needs and facility you have!

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
