What is the bset way to clean a gas grill?

I have inherited the job of working the baseball concessions for the high school where I teach. At home I cover my grill with foil to keep it from getting too bad, but this grill is already disgusting, with grease really baked on. Any good tips for getting it clean?

I should also note that the only water I have access to is cold water out of a spigot. Asked by BarbieM 57 months ago Similar questions: bset clean gas grill Home > Home Improvement.

Non-Toxic Cleaning What I have done with my coal grill is when the grill is still warm I used a wire brush that has been dipped in full strength Sol-U-Mel ( a non-toxic cleaner), it is AMAZING. To rise off the grill, get a bucket and fill the bucket under the spigot for your rinse water. I am sure the same method would work on a gas grill as it did for my coal.

After all grease is grease and that is what you are trying to get ride of and not yourself in the process. Good luck and safe cleaning! .

Dawn Power Dissolver I use Dawn Power Dissolver on everything that has baked on "gunk" or grease. It will even work without hot water. If the grill is really bad, then it will probably take a couple of applications, but the stuff is great and it doesn't have the awful fumes that some cleaning products do.

After you spray it on, let it set for a bit and then use a grill cleaning brush with the metal bristles to scrub the grill. Don't add water until you have scrubbed it really well, because the water just dilutes the spray. I would also ask the high school cafeteria (or bring your own) for aluminum foil, if that is how you do it at home and your in charge of the grill now, I'd do it your way from now on, rather than making more work for yourself.

Great - save the foil. When done eating, and after the grill has cooled, crumple the foil and use it to scrape the nasty, burnt on crud right back off the grill. Unless you have some high tech, teflon (sp?

) coated grill, either tin foil or aluminum foil should not even scratch the metal of the grill - while it will tear right through burnt on crud. Also, the foil will change shape to match the size/shape of the grill, so it gets into cracks and everything. I've found this to be good enough to get the grill clean enough that other, more conventional cleaning products and tools will work.

Cold water with soap and scrapers intended for kitchen use should do the rest (though you may want to keep that one dedicated as the 'grill cleaner' - rather than return a now very dirty cleaning scraper to the kitchen sink. ) Also cool is that you don't have to clean the grill the same day - you can wait until the next morning or right before your next barbeque. You can use fresh foil just as well, and frankly, once you see ho wmuch time this saves, you'll have no problem using a sheet of foil for this purpose.

So take a roll of foil with you the next time you ened to use the basebal concession stand grill - and plan to spend 5-10 minutes using balled-up foil to scrape crud off the grill. (Please recylce) Sources: Just years of backyard barbeque experience .

Cleaning a grill What a dirty job! Yuck! But I found a video that shows how to do a basic home grill.

You just use a brass scrub brush and scrape it, then wipe it with some canola oil. I didn't know about the oil part! But it's a good idea, as it "dusts" all those little burnt bits off the grill racks.

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
