What is the difference between 2 books very similar: "Calculus", and "Calculus, Early Transcendentals,by James Stewart?

These two books has similar prices, same number of edition (6th), have being issued at close days and has a little difference in number of pages. Only one has table of contents available at amazon.com. How can I choose from them?

If you need the text for a class, get the one the instructor requires. If you want an extra text for additional problems, then it doesn’t much matter which one you choose. The difference between the two is more of topic arrangement than content.

The Early Transcendentals version covers exponential and trig functions earlier in the book than does the other so you can use them longer and in more depth should your teacher wish to do so. Also, look at the author’s webpage and you can look at his books in more depth. stewartcalculus.com/ Sources: too many years of teaching math .

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
