What is the difference between believers and nonbelievers?

I love your name. You're going to get a response about free will. Guarantee it.

The free will argument that theists impose doesn't make any sense. Not only are we obviously limited physically, chemically, mentally and physiologically, but also psychologically. For example, I cannot make the choice to jump to the moon.

I cannot make the choice to become a turtle. I cannot make the choice to change every part of myself purple. I cannot make the choice to eco-locate objects, or see in infra-red.

For less extreme examples: I can only choose to make myself smarter to an extent - there IS a limit. The same applies to physical strength, or height. I can only improve my health to an extent.

Does god care about the will of paraplegics? Even the choices we make are influenced by our experiences, and we are born with certain predispositions. People's personalities are also influenced by genetics.

For example, if you look up compliancy in psychology, you can statistically make people more likely to say "yes" to things simply by the way you phrase your question. When we can't even make decisions without being influenced by what is effectively intellectual manipulation, how much choice do we really have? We are much more limited than people think.

There are also examples in psychology of how we make decisions before we realize. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Free_will#N...

The universe is run off of sovereign will. Both God and Satan have to give you the opportunity to choose who you want to worship, if you choose to worship at all. God sent is only begotten Son to die on the cross for you.

Why does He have to prove anything to you? Basically, He is giving you eternal life, you have to trust and believe. Also, the trials and tribulations we go through as humans are part of growing up.

When Adam and Eve were around, there was no need for pain. But now, we need to grow. And everything that I went through was 100% worth it.

Made me a better person as a whole. Wouldn't trade those days for the world. Also, you sound pretty spoiled right now.

You want God to take all of your troubles away and prove his existence to you with indisputable evidence. How do you grow that way? How do you become the best you can be without being forced to be your best?

Life is all about choices. God allowed you to have them, now your job is to choose.

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
