What is the difference between degradable, biodegradable and compostable bags?

This issue can be confusing as manufacturers claim that all these bags will simply disappear after being thrown away. This is not the case. €¢ Degradable bags will eventually fall apart but will leave tiny pieces of plastic that can still pollute the environment.

€¢ The term biodegradable bag is a term that can be very loosely used and is not regulated. Bags may break down but will not necessarily disappear completely and may take several decades to do so. €¢ Compostable bags are the only ones governed by regulations that dictate how and when a bag will totally rot down.

Bags are usually made from corn starch or similar organic material that completely dissolves naturally into the soil. A compostable bag might normally take a year to rot. More.

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
