What is the difference between primary and secondary growth?

Primary growth is when the stem or root of a plant gets lengthens, and secondary growth is when the stem/root gets thicker.

Plant growth occurs at meristems. According to the origin they can be primary meristems or secondary meristems. Primary growth occurs at primary meristems, and secondary growth occurs at secondary meristems.

Primary meristems are apical meristem, intercalary meristem and intrafascicular cambium. Shoot apex is dome shaped with leaf primodia. There are axillary buds, nodes and internodes.

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest.
