Dsp = "Digital Signal Processing" I forget the offiicial description of exactly what it does, but essentially, it is a sound improvement feature. I think it is related to the old "stereo wide" feature on some stereos, which modified the speaker output to make it seem like the speakers are farther apart than they actually are. Digital Signal Processor Here's an article that goes into depth, but basically DSP lets you alter the sounds of the music. Normally you'll see it as preset levels for the amplifier. Common settings are Rock, Live, Hall, Classical, Country, Blues, etc.IE: the Rock setting increases the low and high end.
Live increases the center of the amp, for more vocal and less bass and high end, and some even give an option for an effect that give the music the slight echo and hollow sound of a live concert. Sources: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Digital_signal_processing .
Digital Signal Processing It tells the receiver’s computer how to use the digital signals that are input instead of analog. It should have many different settings that change the equalizer’s output, such as ’rock’ ’rap’ or ’concert’. On many receivers, you have to set it to DSP a mode before it will use actual Dolby Digital 5.1 or 7.1 or to set it to Digital Auto.

1 I WILL ANSWER HERE IN CASE SOMEONE HAS THE EXACT ANSWER -It sounds like an acronym for display , I don't have a jvc amp ,but I do have a Panasonic 6:1 amp / av receiver AND ON MY REMOTE I HAVE DISP, I could not get the onscreen display to work for love of money , I finally called tech support at Panasonic ,they had to scratch their heads a while and called me back the next day with an unexpected cable arrangement for my intended use (second audio output) and it does not display in every mode selected , from the tone of your question and without further details its sounds on the surface like its a display (onscreen ) and it is not working - If you don't get the answer here in askville , call JVC and give them a good reason for showing up for work in the morning, good luck .

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
