What is the etymology of the saying "cut to the chase"?

It is a film term. It refers to moving the audience to the most exciting and worth watching part of the movie. When you tell someone, "cut to the chase." you are telling them that you don't want to listen to the preamble and wish them to get to the point.

Stop trying to evade the answer to a question talking on and on but they really aren't saying much of anything and just answer it. Or stop giving a speech when you can answer a question in a few words or a sentence.

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
