What is the most expensive bottle of wine you've had the pleasure of drinking?

It would have to be the $4.50 bottle of THUNDERBIRD I drank when I was on a budget some years back. As a young man I liked drinking cheap wine because I was on a budget. It was a cold rainy day in the upscale mountain town of Los Gatos. My basement flooded and could not take the smell.

As the basement was being pumped I went for a walk and was arrested 1 block away from home for drunk in public. Passing Police flipped the lights on me so I threw up my hands and yelled.... WHAT THE FU#@ COULD GO WRONG NOW! Then I found out what could go wrong.

So My answer would be that a $4.50 bottle of Thunderbird was the most expensive bottle of wine I have ever had.. Q: Did you enjoy it? A: Yes, Good Buzz and it made my stay at the Police Hotel a much enjoyed experiences. When I got back home it smelled like Roses.

Q: Was it worth the price? A: Hell No, If I could do it again I would have chosen Beer or a Bud.As for the public drunkenness It sure was not worth the price. Q: Did you pay for it?

A: I'm still paying, Just having the public drunkenness on my record allows me to pay for it until the end of time. Note: What I learned from this entire experiences was that Peavey Amps float and Pianos don't.

That would be a bottle of Carlos Rossi Rhine wine at about 12 or 13 dollars. I have often spent more per ounce on other wines. I like Taylor champagne and New York varietals and whatever is made at the vineyards I visit.

But the price is always below ten dollars. The Carlos Rossi seems worth the extra because it is 5 liters and lasts a while.

I don't remember what it was, but the price tag was $100 per bottle. I had it at an employee Christmas party and the bottle came from the store where I worked. It was the most horrible wine I've ever tasted.

I'll take my Riunite Lambrusco over that stuff anyday. Also, I had a $30 bottle of wine on a date (he paid) and, same thing; it was horrible. It seems to me the more expensive wine is, the nastier it tastes.

Or, perhaps I'm just culturally deprived. Either way, as long as I can get my Lambrusco at a reasonable price, I'm a happy camper.

Cognac is usually referred to as one of the most expensive bottle alcohol in the world. Petrus at $700 per bottle has to taste better than Pichon Lalande at $80. Beyond a certain level of price and reputation it is almost impossible to taste the wine for the hype.

Thus, the quality of Chateau d'Yquem, the First Growth Clarets, Chateau Petrus and the wines of the Domaine de la Romanee Conti can't be questioned - either they are fantastic or you, the purchaser, are an idiot.

I once had a the enjoyment of drinking what I believed was a 1932 australian wine... we found a bottle a few days later ... it was a d'Yquem from Bordeux ... age on the tag ... 1901.

64 Faustino I (Rioja). Around 160 euros. I wasn't paying!

47 Petrus probably. My family had a 6,000 bottle cellar and I didn't focus on the price when I was young since I wasn't purchasing.

The most expensive bottle of wine I had the pleasure of drinking and continue to drink is a thirty dollar bottle of faustino wine. It is a magnificient matured wine, and I would recommend it to anyone.

I have always enjoyed drinking wine, more or less due to the rumor that it's great for your blood. I knew nothing about expensive wines until I made my way over to France to visit a long lost friend. She has always had fine taste when it comes to fine wines.

She introduced me to a bottle of Chateau Mouton Rothschild 1982. If you don't know the history behind Chateau Mouton Rothschild 1982, then let me be the one to enlighten you. Chateau Mouton Rothschild 1982 started out priced at $390 a bottle until the first quarter of 1996.Re housed by Christy/Zachy's New York in 1997 for a quivering price of $420,000 a case ( which is $700 a bottle) Chateau Mouton Rothschild 1982 is considered to be like the #8 or #9 most expensive bottle of wine in the world.

I know that today Chateau Mouton Rothschild goes for about $1300 a bottle and I will assume that it's because the vineyards that Chateu Mouton Rothschild owns is located in on the slopes in the Bordeaux region. They have some of the finest wine making grapes in the world. Just a little history on the wine I got the pleasure of tasting.

I had to get used to the taste because it was extremely strong but once I realized that I was drinking an expensive bottle of wine, my taste buds quickly adjusted.

2001 Diamond Creek Cabernet Sauvignon Red Rock Terrace. Around $250. While in Napa, we were fortunate enough to receive a special invitation to picnic on the Diamond Creek Grounds and get a tour by the owner Al Brounstein.

He rode in a golf cart, as he was very ill at the time (and died shortly thereafter)...but you could tell he loved his land and his grapes, and loved to tell how he began his journey as a wine maker.. My avatar is a picture that I took while on that tour with Al. The signs point to the different wine growing areas. It was worth it to spend the day with Al and the grapes.

We shared the price with friends. I enjoyed it immensely! Thanks for the memories!

First of all I want to say that I m not a drunker. In case the costly wine is teacher.

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
