What is the price for greatness?

I can't give you a price, but I can say this.....to Struggle, to Suffer and Sacrifice. Tears, Rejection, Discipline, "The Powers that be! " Envy, Jealousy and last but not least Tenacity!

These are but a few but their worth as well as its repercussions cannot be bought or replaced by a "price"vonda G. Nelson.

Both my mother and my father achieved greatness. They were awesome parents and people. They worked hard, they loved well, they gave what they had and they were always there for me.

I suppose they had issues, but not for the world to see. The were brilliant, funny, kind, sad and greatness personified. They paid the price, they had responsibilitiies related to being great parents and people.

They gave up some of their dreams for their children, they gave up some of their privacy for their children, they gave up a lot of their income for their children. And they gave their love and hearts to their children. But they carried their greatness and responsibilities well.

If it is fame, then the price is a large one. I think people of fame lead a very isolated life. They need to be protected from the public.

Then there are those who achieve greatness that is not recognized until after their death. That kind of greatness has no price, since they will never know, unfortunately. There is so much more, I look forward to reading your hub when you complete it.

Should be very interesting. Good luck with it.

The price of greatness includes failure. If you take a look at the noblest men and women who ever lived , they failed a few times, got back up, and kept going until they achieved greatness.

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
