Personally experienced: a family member I was very close to committed suicide when I was 16. That was hard to deal with, especially as I had my GCSE exams at school which made it all the worse. Heard of: jeee, where to start.
Probably the way animals are treated in countries like China. Dogs/cats being skinned while they're still alive. Its very very sad.
When I was 11 I was in a VERY bad car accident and while I was in the hospital my dad had to come tell me that my best friend and her little sister had died from the car rolling on them. :(.
I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
