What is the Skeletal System?

The skeletal system is the support system for the body. The bones of the body are part of the skeletal system. Bones support, help the body move, and protect.

Ligaments and cartilage that connect them. Your teeth are made of enamel and dentin. Does the Skeletal System help us?

Collapse into a heap. And guts on the floor.

The skeletal (bone) system is the main system support system in vertebrates. It provides the rigidity for muscle and organ attachment; bones, tendons and muscles work together forming sets of levers that enable us to move. The skeletal system also provides a level of protection for delicate internal organs (lungs, brains, liver etc.).

Skeleton system = bones.
