When I was an insurance claims adjuster, I recorded the statement of a driver who had caught his car on fire because he lit an air freshener candle under his seat while he was operating the vehicle. The flame ignited some aerosol cans of spray paint that were under his seat. The seat caught fire and his bottom began to burn.
He opened the door of the car and jumped out. The car hit a brick wall. The stupidest part was that he did not understand that this accident was his fault and so we would not be paying anything for his injuries, under his Uninsured Motorist insurance.
Why do I think he did this? I think he was probably stoned on Marijuana (which impairs reasoning). I am guessing that he lit the air freshener candle to cover up the smell of pot smoke in his car.
I am guessing he had the aerosol spray paint cans under his seat because he was a gang member and he needed the spray paint for a kind of vandalism called "tagging.

My son in law jumped off our carport into the pool. He landed on his behind and bruised his tail bone. Why did he do it?
Stupidity and alcohol I'm guessing. We were having a combination cook out, pool party and he had drank quite a few beers.
I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
