Good Question. Fuck is my all time favorite swear word (though in my opinion, most powerful when used infrequently. ) Urban legend suggests that FUCK is an acronym for either: 1)Fornicate Under Command of the King referring to an old English law which demanded that citizens couldn't procreate without consent of the king.2)For Unlawful Carnal Knowledge, a criminal code used to describe prostitution.
Some research leads me to think that, although clever, neither of these explanations is accurate. It appears that FUCK is not an acronym at all but entered the english language full formed... "The American Heritage Dictionary says its first known occurrence in English literature was in the satirical poem "Flen, Flyss" (c.1500), where it was not only disguised as a Latin word but encrypted - gxddbov - which has been deciphered as fuccant, pseudo-Latin for "they fuck. " An interesting book called The F-Word by Jesse Sheidlower gives some pretty good referrences, if your interested.
I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
