What is your favorite hotel chain, and why?

Lton Hotels - specifically Embassy Suites I LOVE Embassy Suites hotels. I have never had a bad stay and they are great for both business and family travel. I love them for the following reasons: They are suites, so when you travel (esp.

With children) you can have a two bedroom. Both the living room and bedroom have televisions as well. They serve a Full Hot breakfast as part of the cost of the room!

Yum! Never had a bad breakfast. Typically served buffet, often with an omelet bar, fresh fruit, pastries, waffles, etc. They have a manager's cocktail reception in the evening from 5pm - 7pm in most locations.

This is free beer, wine and house liquor or specialty drink (in some locations). They also have some sort of appetizer (nothing fancy). They have a pool in most locations.

They have a work out room in most locations. Some of them are in GREAT locations - for example an old hotel with Marble columns (Portland Downtown location in the old Multnomah Hotel). Portland Hotel By staying at the lton Line of hotels for my business travel, I am also accumulating points for free stays!

Have fun! Sources: My own experience and that of my family - two daughters under age 8 .

Kimpton I have stayed at only two Kimpton hotels, the Cypress Hotel in San Jose, CA, and the Monticello Inn in San Francisco, CA. All Kimpton hotels have nice lobbies where people gather for complimentary wine in the afternoon. The Cypress is a lot of fun.

Everything is decorated like big cats, with tiger stripes. The real reason for my fondness is the Monticello Inn, however. We drove from Southern California to San Francisco for MacWorld, with our 1-year-old daughter.

Traffic was horrendous, and it took over 12 hours, rather than the 6-8 we expected. We kept calling to reassure them we were on our way, and when we finally dragged ourselves in at 3AM, we found one of the staff had stayed up late just for us. He steered us to our room, where he had a crib all made up, and handed us glasses of chilled white wine he had saved for us, and made us feel like the late, late check-in was no problem.

We never felt so welcomed. It isn’t the fanciest hotel in San Francisco, but it is our favorite.

The sofitel for doing business they have the most beautiful rooms, very modern and up to date. And the beds, its a wonder I ever get any work done while staying there, I just want to lay in bed and sleep all day! They usually all have wonderful restaurants and their locations are always perfect, close to everything so you are never bored when you get a few minutes times.

When traveling I love the bahia chain, especially the dominican ones, I am getting married at the gran bahia in punta cana next year, highly recommended! .

I'm a big fan of Best Western In the first place, I’m one of those people who prefers to stay in a smaller, privately run hotel, that is a little distinctive from the chains. (I always go back to the same, trusted places in cities I visit frequently. ) But when I’m going to a strange city and I have no idea what the accommodations are like in any of the hotels there, I invariably choose Best Western.

I like the fact that their hotels are all individually run. They don’t all look exactly alike, as with some of the chains. They also have to meet certain basic standards. So, if I am in a small town in France--or in the hinterlands of the United States--I can always assume that I will have a clean room, air conditioning in the worst days of August, internet access, and access to a decent meal.

I’ve stayed in a lot of Best Westerns, and I’ve never found one that wasn’t decent--and many of them have been great. Choice Hotels (Comfort Inn, Quality Inn) is a good option, too, but I’ve had better luck with Best Western. Sources: Personal experience and opinion .

Hyatt I've always had great service at Hyatt Hetels. I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
