What is your guilty pleasure in regards to fashion?

I can't get over my problem with sunglasses. The only thing that makes me feel somewhat better about it is bargain shopping. I do find deals, about 25% off the store prices, but that still could be 200$!

Also I have kept all of them and in perfect condition so I guess they never seem to be a "waste"Knowing that others have the same issues would also help me feel better and that I deserve the things I like. You DO deserve the things you like. My weakness in fashion is shoes. Sometimes I can't believe how much money I spend on them, but I have four types I like:1) for work -- I need to be comfortable no matter what.2) for home -- again, comfort is big on my scale.3) for the garden & hard -- I have garden Birkenstocks that I LOVE!

I want to be buried in them (lol).4) for when I get dressed up -- I will spend as much as the shoes cost, if I like them. One day, walking back to work from spending my lunch hour shoe shopping at Nordstrom, I could believe I'd just spent almost $300 on a pair of shoes that I knew I'd probably wear 3 or 4 times a year (because of the color and also they're suede -- absolutely gorgeous and they feel like heaven). This is my only fashion extravagance.

Some people spend a lot on clothing, some on cars, some (men) on hunting and/or fishing equipment, some on CDs and DVDs. Everyone should be good to themselves in at least ONE way. Don't feel guilty. No one will ever love you as much as you should love yourself, so take care of yourself.

They're only sunglasses, and you DO take care of them. No problem. There's a difference in BEING guilty and FEELING guilty.

You are NOT guilty, ergo don't feel that way. Be nice to yourself! And good luck!

Earings and Converse All-Stars Luckily I like silver jewelry, not gold so I love to sneak a new pair of earings into my jewelry wardrobe. Not too expensive, and they're fun to have. You can match them with whatever mood you happen to be in each morning.

Most times, tho' I'm in a rush, and grab one of a couple favorites. I also love my high top Converse All-Stars. I'm in my mid 40's, but who cares?

You're never too old to wear something a little funky. A little too warm for summer, so I'll pull them out again in October. Nice, fun question.

Dr Martens boots, and wrist watches for me! Shoes and Wrist Watches for me! I remember in high school when I got my first pair of Dr Martens 8-eyelet boots.. that's where it all began!

Then I began collecting the shoes, more boots, different colors, laces, etc.. fast-forward to today 30 pairs later.. and that's not counting the dozens that I've traded off! My fascination with wrist watches probably began when I saw my first grandfather clock at a museum.. seeing all the neat and intricate gears inside spinning and moving. I've about 3 dozen wrist watches in my collection now.. from happy-colored plastic "Swatches", to movement-powered Timex Automatics, to diver's watches of various makes.

I hear you about the Condition thing! Some of my cherished Dr Martens and watches I keep safe on a dedicated shelf at the back of my closet. My "users" I display prominently above my dresser and rotate through my favorites.

How do you store your Sunglasses? I've been looking for a better way to protect against humidity and dust, while still having them "in view" to look at! Oh the vanity!

For me it's the Hunt that's as fun as the Collecting. The search and the acquiring.. looking high and low, from pawn shops to Ebay, from yard sales to department store clearance sales. And when I *do* find that something special.. That's what gives me my fun, my "high", my buzz and elation.Anyways.. you're not Alone!

And it's not like we *need* all of these! That's not what it's about! Buying things we "need" is no fun at all!

That's why when I'm gift-shopping for others.. I try to get them something they wouldn't normally buy for themselves, something out of the ordinary, something they Want rather than Need! So have fun with the "affliction".. and happy collecting! :o) Sources: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Collecting .

1 macmac, regarding your answer "Dr Martens boots, and wrist watches for me! ": That's great! I actually wore Doc Martens in my "boy" days with my pants tucked in them!Ugh.

And I have a favorite BRIGHT royal blue swatch that was a gift and came from over seas. The strap broke and I won't get rid of the watch even though they say it can't be fixed here in the US. As for my glasses I used to display them but everyone always wanted to put their mitts on them, especially my teenage daughters.

Now I do as you do, the bulk stays in a big box in the closet (away from harm), in their cases and I rotate a brown pair and a gold pair for this summer. The good glasses come with STURDY cases that I can put in my bag and go. Thanks for your response..

Ladies, give an example of when you used your sexuality to get something you wanted...

..I just want you all to know that it has been a pleasure to know you all ...

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
